Catechism
|
We aspire to build a community that is deeply rooted in their faith, in touch with their spirituality, nurtures and values their personal relationship with God, and loves each other to a large degree. Such a community would foster a real sense of belonging to the Church, and help members own their identity and responsibility as parts of the Body of Christ.
To accomplish this, Catechism activities are done every Sunday morning before mass. Teachers prepare their lessons and have additional formation every Wednesday 7:00-8:00 PM in the evening. There is a general assembly of all students for a common values talk then they break up into groups of 15-20 people to discuss topics about the different stages in the life of Catholic from before baptism, communion, confirmation, and others. As of 2012, there are about 195 students attending catechism and 18 catechists. |
