Scholarships

The scholarship program of the church started in 2003 to help the poor families and their children finish school in Battambang. Tuition fees as well as a book allowance were given to selected scholars. They were chosen by a committee after a house visit and assessment of the family's situation. Scholars are mostly from the following villages: Ek Phnom, Somrong, Somrong Knong, Romchek I - IV, Srea Moy Roy, and Tol Ta Ek. They are required to join outreach activities such as visiting villages to look after poor and/or sick people, becoming part of environment advocacies and various other seminars and training. Most of our scholars are very active in church outreach and activities. |
