Pet Yiey Chee Music Program (PMP) started in 2012 as a response to the interest of the youth in the community to learn modern music. Courses on different musical instruments like guitar (lead, solo), bass guitar, piano and drums are offered with the duration of 3 months each, 4 times a year. Currently, there are 20 students in groups of 5 per class who study from 5:00-7:00 PM every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. At the end of each course, a special performance is organized where the students perform the pieces they’ve learned to play in the period and receive a certificate for successful completion of the course. The first batch of students successfully completed their course and held a concert last June. |
